Duke of Edinburgh Award

Duke of Edinburgh Award

CGSG are entering a new exciting phase with the Duke of Edinburgh (DofE) programme. After many years of running DofE within the Academy, Miss Miller is stepping down as the DofE leader and Mr Whitehead is now in post. We would like to thank Miss Miller for all of her hard work and dedication to DofE. Miss Miller will still be supporting expeditions in the future, so we are really happy that students will still be able to call on her expertise.

We are pleased to be offering the Silver Award this year, previously, students would have completed the Award through Medway Open Awards Centre. Training started on Friday 2nd February 2018.

There will be two new DofE Student Ambassadors within the school, these students have previously completed their Bronze Award and are now working towards obtaining their Silver Award. The students will be trained by DofE South East Region and once trained, will be available to all students offering advice on the DofE programme. We wish them the very best of luck in their new roles.
